Hollywood and Washington Produce Great Collaborations
Washington, D.C. – August 30, 2006

We all know Washington, D.C. has a great deal to offer Hollywood when they come looking for stories. It was only a matter of time before they began collaborating with the local talent here as well. Now, as part of the growing entertainment industry in the greater metro area, we are proud to announce the launch of a new film production company in Washington, D.C.

Leon Entertainment, LLC has begun work on its first feature film, The Last Chapter, set to begin filming in October 2006 in the Washington D.C. area. This psychological thriller, about powerful families and the secrets they hide, revolves around love and betrayal. It will feature Joseph Fiennes, Josh Lucas, Lena Heady, Terence Stamp, Olga Sosnovska and Virginie Ledoyen* and be produced by Louis G. Friedman. The Last Chapter is a co-production and the film will be released in theatres in spring, 2007.

Leon Entertainment began as a partnership between D.C. native and entertainment attorney, Robert E. Levine, Esq. and the writer/director Rod On, Jr. The Last Chapter is based on his third novel titled Le Dernier Chapitre a.k.a The Last Chapter, set to be published by Michel Lafon Publishing in the U.S. in January 2007. Michel Lafon Publishing acquired worldwide rights for the novel for $1,000,000.

Rod On, Jr. has written two previous novels including Un Petit Amour and Strange Destiny, and made two feature films in Europe, Une Grande Perte and City and Crimes. He has also directed commercials for L’Oréal, Lancôme, BMW, Toyota and music videos for Tina Turner, Jamaroquoi and Missy Elliot.

Louis G. Friedman is an L.A. based producer. His credits include Accepted, Blue Crush, Along Came Polly and American Pie.
